Hi All,

First, I love my Iliad. Its the best 700$ ever spent. :)
Second, Do I need to power down the device when I've finished reading, It take long time to power down and restart ?
I don't know (and haven't found an answer in the forums/manual) if it is safe to leave the Iliad on, will it damage the screen (burn).
I know it will eat the battery, but waiting 1 min to start reading when you have only few minutes spare time between feeding the kids and tidy up after them is too long.

Thanks,
Ido

No, it's perfectly OK to leave it on if you're not using it for a few minutes. The screen won't be damaged.

No. I frequently turn my iLiad on when I get to work, reading pages in between long software builds, but mostly it just sits there displaying the last page I started reading.

It doesn't eat that much battery. I get over 11 hours on a charge with my iLiad.

I usually do this:
Turn it on when I get to work.
When I get home (about 10 hours later), I plug it in and sync any books that I need to. When I go to sleep, I power it off.
When I get up, it's fully charged and ready to go for another day.

Hi,
Thanks for the answer.
It is good to know I don't have to restart every time I want to read.:)
Thanks
