I have converted a pdf with calibre, it is displayed better,
but some images appears bad in ipad1 ,
this is the print screen:

http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg41/scaled.php?server=41&filename=photovml.png&res=medium
html:

<p><span><img src="viande.jpg" alt=""/></span>
</p>
css:

p span img {
display: inline-block;
float: left;
margin-right: 1%;
}

can you help me please?
thanks

Considering how iBooks mutilates ePUB, you're better of reading the PDF on the ipad.

This problem looks similar to the one in another thread in this forum - where wrapping text around a floated image doesn't work quite right when you reach a page boundary. Attached is a very simple epub that illustrates the problem. I've tested this on a few devices/systems with the following results:

2G iPod Touch, iOS 4.2.1, iBooks 1.3.2 - no problem.
4G iPod Touch, iOS 5.0, iBooks 1.3.2 - exhibits problem.
4G iPod Touch, iOS 5.0.1, iBooks 1.5 - exhibits problem.

So a tentative conclusion is that this is an iOS issue rather than an iBooks issue as I'd first thought.
