I just bought it. It's new in the box, I tried it, but I find it too portable.
Would anyone like to trade it for their irex?
Please pm me.

View Full Version : Anyone would like my sony 505? reader01 11-12-2007, 07:46 PM I just bought it. It's new in the box, I tried it, but I find it too portable. NatCh 11-12-2007, 08:36 PM Welcome to MobileRead, reader01. :welcome: I'm not sure if you're joking or serious, though -- describing the Reader as "too portable" is what's confused me. reader01 11-16-2007, 01:36 AM hi, thank you for the welcome. yes i am serious. what i mean by 'too portable' is it feels too small. when i try and read comics, i have to zoom in and press arrow keys to navigate the imagery. please let me know if you would like to make a trade, i can put it on ebay, and it will be a secured and safe process. thanks. tirsales 11-16-2007, 02:36 AM Well ... trading a 640€ iLiad for a 350€ Sony Reader (assuming european prices) seems like a bad idea, wouldn't you agree? Perhaps you could just offer your reader on the flea market / ebay / whatever, sell it and buy yourself an iLiad afterwards. Seems more logical (to my tired mind, that is). It would be very good from the original poster's viewpoint :). Dave Berk 11-16-2007, 06:16 AM Maybe he means to trade his brand new 505 for a used Iliad... might seem more fair.. :D Adam B. 11-16-2007, 09:02 AM I think you'll be hard pressed to find an iLiad owner willing to part with his precious for something that's much smaller with less functionality. Good luck if you do though. CommanderROR 11-16-2007, 10:34 AM I would have been very tempted not too long ago, but since the Iliad now does mobipocket... ;) btw, if the Sony 505 is so new, why don#t you just briong it back to to the store where you bought it? yvanleterrible 11-16-2007, 11:31 AM I would have been very tempted not too long ago, but since the Iliad now does mobipocket... ;) btw, if the Sony 505 is so new, why don#t you just briong it back to to the store where you bought it?He might not get an iLiad for it though. reader01 11-18-2007, 10:52 PM yes, for a used illiad i would make the trade. and i bought the thing on ebay. for 375. they won't accept returns unless there's something wrong with it. JSWolf 11-19-2007, 12:03 AM yes, for a used illiad i would make the trade. and i bought the thing on ebay. for 375. they won't accept returns unless there's something wrong with it. By the way, because you have used your 505, it is not brand new. It is slightly used. Once you open the box, the value for it drops. mocelet 11-19-2007, 03:06 AM yes, for a used illiad i would make the trade. and i bought the thing on ebay. for 375. they won't accept returns unless there's something wrong with it. 375 of what? £375 is optimistic for an iLiad, €375 is hopeful, and $375 is probably unrealistic, even for a used one. JSWolf 11-28-2007, 06:53 PM Given the price of the 505 in the US, I would say the value of it would be $200 used. It's too bad you paid $375 for it. But you'll only really get $200... maybe $250. But not more. And if you have registered it at Sony Connect and the $100 in classic books is gone, you'll really have to drop the price to $150 (at best) as you will have lost the buyer $100 in the Connect credit. |
