Whiles transferring books to the Cybook a line appeared across the screen round about the middle tried a few page turns and it's still there, battery is at 100% any thoughts?

Turn off the Cybook.

If it's still there when you turn it back on, then the screen is defective.

After a few minutes with the cybook off turned I it on and the line was fainter after a few page turns it disappeared!!!. Switched it off and on a few times and it's fine.

Sounds like an intermittent fault on the screen controller. Needs replacing, I fear.

Is it black or white line? White line could be from ghosting and disappears when you switch on Flashing Refresh. M.

No. You pay for the shipping to them. They pay for the shipping back to you. That's the way it generally works with European warranties.

I've a line on my cybook too, for a week.
The line is reverse video, white when the screen is black and black when the screen is white.
Unlike gibbo, the line is always here, even after several turning on/off cycle.
I think i'll wait for bookeen to have some spare in stock before sending it for waranty, I don't want to wait a month or two to have my cybook back.

Supposedly Bookeen is supposed to be shipping more on Monday. So you might want to give support a message about your Gen3.
