Well, that's annoying.

The demo doesn't seem to work on Chrome and isn't compatible with Firefox.

Nor IE8, IE9 and FF using the Iphone 3.0 user agent...

And on my Flyer it looks horrible.. (as the demo doesn't resize to a 7" screen...)

Doesn't work from Win XP using Opera or IE.
Doesn't work from Android 2.3 Phone (Samsung Galaxy S Plus) using neither standard browser, nor Opera Mobile.

Makes you wonder, who is supposed to view that... :D

Cool and Windows in the same sentence...:rofl: relating to a demo so good it's guaranteed to put you off... to impress, it should work perfectly first time on any competition... :D

I get the error as well, but then I went to Demo videos (http://m.microsoft.com/windowsphone/en-us/discover/default.mspx?sid=c34N4DkI5Ua0nyeNI0EfNA).
I found this interesting:

Yeah, it is tough to get people to switch sight unseen-I wonder how many people have even tried other OSes beyond reading about them (or playing with them for 5 minutes in a store).

I read that first quarter about 46% of people wanted a Windows tablet, but 3rd quarter only about 26% people wanted one.

Microsoft has waited too long. I wanted a MS one too but now I am tired of waiting.

It's somewhat working. I like the way the Metro interface looks/works, just a little hesitant after getting borked with some of their earlier WinMo phones. And, I have a few people at work who are both looking closer at a new WinMo phone for their next handset.

That's pretty much been the story of Microsoft this last decade.

You are right but it goes back further than that.

Being an old guy, I remember when Microsoft was fighting Word Perfect for the word processor market. Back in the days when word processors all by themselves cost $400, and in today's inflated dollars that would be a thousand or two.

Back then MicroSoft invented the expression "VAPORWARE."

That was the next product that was coming in just a year or so and would change everything. Everything! So just wait, a little longer, please.

We waited around a lot back then.

But at least they eventually came through. MS Office is now the dominant market leader in productivity suites.

When it comes to the likes of Windows Phone and Zune, they never managed to overcome the disadvantage. I wonder if Windows 8 will be any different...?
