:help:
Hi, I am a writer who is trying to learn how to embed video to create "vook-like" offerings for the Kindle and Nook. The new Kindle publishing guide indicates that you can submit a EPUB to KindleGen with embedded video and it will work.

Has anyone done this? What video program can output video in the correct formats for Kindle (MP4 video w/MP3 audio - my Cyberlink Powerdirector does not seem to). Is there an easy tutorial of how to do this? I am not that technically proficient - my last book was done in Word and submitted directly to KDP and Nook self publishing sites.

Thanks for your help and advice!

:thanks:

For converting videos to Kindle fire, you should check the Kindle Fire support formats first:
Audio: AAC, MP3, MIDI, OGG, WAV,
Video: MP4, VP8

Best Kindle Fire video formats for playback:
Video Encoder: H.264, Audio Encoder: AAC
Resolution: 800*480 , Video Bitrate: 2500 kbps

And think maybe you could use this program to do the converting:
