The web browser seems to be finally functioning, despite once it crashed without cause, but finally, I would call it a working browser. However, I cannot log onto gmail due to some cookie reason, despite I have cleared cookie history.
the PDF reader is still slow and some pages with graphs takes forever to load. Those texts written vertically (traditional Chinese) takes forever to load at its worst.
IR button seems to be improved a bit, but the reaction is somewhat slower than before, but I'd rather have a slower IR button than an overly-sensitive one.

@jian1: for which model(s) is this firmware and where did you download it?

You can get it from here http://www.onyx-boox.com/onyx-boox-firmware/137-onyx-boox-m90-firmware
I have just tried the firmware because as jian1 said, they may have improved the browser, which I have been too disappointed.
It seems the browser is a little bit faster, and scribble is more accurate and faster. However, the keyboard becomes a bit less responsive. And I also had problem with gmail. I cleared cookies then I could log in. But then the browser jumped out, then I opened gmail again and it asked me to clear cookies again.
Well, I do not expect much about the improvement of speed, as the limit of the CPU. But I am happy to see that Onyx is trying to make better firmwares.

Let's hope it takes care of crashing. I've had to reset my M90 after every time I've wakened it from sleep the last several days.

I've tried sleep, of which, sadly, Onyx doesn't take well care. It crashed almost instantly whenever I woke it up from sleep.
