I am going to post all the Twain collections in this one thread. All are worth reading; some merit a second and third reading because of Mr. Twain's subtle writing style. Well, okay, sometimes his writing style resembles a brick applied to the side of the head. But there are times that he is subtle.

Alonzo Fitz

I recommend The Grateful Poodle and The Benevolent Author.

The 30,000 Bequest and Other Stories

I actually haven't read this one yet.

The Man that Corrupted Hadleyburg

I still get a kick out of Stirring Times in Austria.

Why is the version 0.9 when it should be 1.0 for your first posting?

I am working my way through all my early conversions. The new copy is fully proofread to the best of my abilities. I also made some minor editorial decisions that improve the readability.

I have updated Sketches. You really should read these stories. Mr. Twain has a truly twisted sense of humor that is wonderfully expressed by his mastery of the English langauge.
