Palm Digital Media (http://www.palmdigitalmedia.com/products/palmreader/trial) now offers Palm Reader Pro as a 15 days trial.

Btw, the trial package is also interesting for already-registered users, since it contains the latest bug-fixed version of Palm Reader Pro.

Included with the trial package:

- Palm Reader Pro (Palm, PPC, Mac, or Win)
- Webster's New World Vest Pocket Dictionary
- The Big Bounce, by Elmore Leonard
- Checklists for Life: 104 Lists to Help You Get Organized, Save Time, and Unclutter Your Life, by Kirsten Lagatree
- Star Trek: The New Frontier Books 1-4
- Around the World in Eighty Days, by Jules Verne
- Handheld Computing Magazine, December 2003
- and, a mini-catalog containing sample chapters from many other books

Also,
If you decide you can't live without the Pro features of Palm Reader, just buy a registration key and enter it in the registration dialog. When you buy a registration key, the demo books will be added to your account so you can download them from there and keep on reading them past the 15-day demo period.

Btw, trial is only available till July 1, 2004 (so they say at least).

I took them up on the offer. I still prefer isilo for unsecured reading, but prefer palm reader to mobipocket or ms reader for drm protected books. The free books are good value, too! :)
