hi everyone,
i gave a copy of book designer to a friend a while back and he has emailed me a few times telling me that his mccaffree is telling him there is a hidden trojon in one of the book designer files the files names are CLIT & CLIT 18

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE CHECK THIS FOR ME AND POST TO CONFIRM THIS ISN'T SO WITH MAIN PROGRAM 4.0 PLUS PLEASE CHECK THESE 2 FILES IN ALL UPDATES (IT DOES COME FROM RUSSIA) AND POST TO CONFIRM WHICH UPDATE YOU HAVE CHECKED AND GIVE IT THUMBS UP OR DOWN

probley being silly but he has emailed me a few times now & sometimes you can be so happy with something you forget where it came from

for the record i have checked mine with my norton and it says its ok

Don't worry about it - those files are the "Convert LIT" tool which BD uses to convert LIT files to HTML. If you prefer, you can replace those files with ones downloaded directly from the "Convert LIT" web site. They are perfectly OK.

Whatever does that fact that it comes from Russia have to do with anything?

Norton anti-virus 2007 is perfectly happy with it.

I've got trend micro on one machine and McAfee on the other, neither one objects to anything about BD. :shrug:

It sounds like your friend is either running an OLD version of Mcafee and/or has not updated it.
