Gibbo 07-15-2007, 06:08 PM Whilst searching for a 3rd party case to accompany my M-edge brown case I saw this cute little thing.

astra 07-16-2007, 09:04 AM Frankly speaking, it is not a bookchair for Sony Reader only.
I bought mine 3 years ago in Waterstone bookshop K :)
JSWolf 07-16-2007, 09:20 AM So, now that your Reader or iLiad is sitting int he chair, how do you turn the pages?

As usual?
Do you mean that thse 2 wooden planks cover a big page turn button? They swivel 360 degrees.
I don't use it anyway :)

Telepathy!
jasonkchapman 07-16-2007, 06:01 PM Telepathy!
Huh. Mine doesn't have that option. Is that in a firmware update somewhere? Some sort of Bluetooth extension, maybe?

No, no, much simpler. Just hold down the left Phillips screw when you power it up...

Actually I meant Telekinesis. It's a wonder it wasn't spotted by all the sharp eagles we have here.:grin2:

It's the telepathy. They knew what you meant.

Telekinesis versus telepathy depends on whether you want to push the buttons with your mind or mentally interface with the processor and get it to change the page itself (which I suppose might be better described as cyberpathy). I think that either would work ... well, if either really did work then either would work.
yvanleterrible 07-17-2007, 12:37 PM Telepathy can only be done with the living.
NatCh 07-17-2007, 12:51 PM Well, then, that brings us to the definition of 'living' for mental communication terms, and brings to mind the phrase "it's life, but not as we know it." :vulcan:
And we still have the possibility of cyberpathy!
yvanleterrible 07-17-2007, 01:00 PM There you go! Quite an appropriate name!
NatCh 07-17-2007, 01:12 PM Yeah, if I had a super-power (well, aside from already being DSITTM (http://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?p=51085#post51085)), I'd want to have either cyberpathy, or Forge (http://www.marvel.com/universe/Forge)'s power to invent anything he can think of.
yvanleterrible 07-17-2007, 02:11 PM I thought you had powers!!?!! Isn't that why you're moving to Jackson? To reduce the crime rate?

One normally just pushes the button to turn the page, :smash: Just being a Smart A**....... and being me :D
Actually I posted that thing when I was looking for stuff long ago and someone said the same thing, but those little doo hickies move around at the bottom so I am sure they will miss the page turner button...... I had suggested at the time a PLATE holder........ which is basicly the same thing.
I just hold mine and fall asleep and let the lanyard catch it and wake me up and I go through the same routine a few minutes again later LOL.........

I have an idea if you want a go. A book chair with a remote controlled page turner.
aleks 07-30-2007, 12:51 PM Sweet!
