Personally, I prefer indentation and a small space between paragraphs. I have bad vision and a bit of extra white space makes it easier for me to read.

One has to take the reading platform into consideration.
Indents work well and look good on a 6" or larger screen. On a small screen - a phone, or a PDA - no idents + a small separation of paragraphs works a lot better. |

For me a line space between paragraphs indicate a change of scene. So, please no blank lines for me between paragraphs.

I like no indent and about a half line-space between paragraphs.
In a pbook, you would usually have no line space between paragraphs, or else you need a full line space between paragraphs. Anything in between would create type-setting problems where the other page in the spread wouldn't line up. On ereaders, there is no spread (that is, 2 pages that face each other), no need to align pages in a spread, and thus no problem with anything less than a full line space between paragraphs. So bring on the half line space! eP |

Precisely. I voted for the indent with 3 pixel paragraph spacing. It's what I find most comfortable to read. A larger space between paragraphs (full line or 2 full lines) would indicate a scene change.

in terms of pixels, if the lines are around 18 points, baseline to baseline, then I would like about a 9 point space (half line space).

I prefer a visual indication, such as three centred asterisks, for a scene change. Especially on devices which have widow and orphan control (which pretty much all modern readers do) it can otherwise be difficult to distinguish a scene change at the bottom of a page.

I like indent+line separation best. I want to know if I'm reading a new paragraph or a continuation from the previous one. I read on phone.

It's what printed books do when a scene change occurs at the bottom of the page. What would you prefer? You really can't use a blank line for a scene change if it happens to fall at the bottom of the page - how would the person reading know that it was there?
