I would like to create a simple document (simple, in my mind, is just text and URLs - no graphics) and save it as an AZW (or whatever format) to load onto my Kindle3. Essentially, just a list of some mobile-device-friendly Web sites and their URLs that I can access and read on my Kindle3 to "point and click" to a few Web sites.

Is this as simple as creating, say, a Word doc, saving it as an HTML, and then using Calibre convert the HTML to AZW?

Sorry if this has been covered before. I see "serious" authors' inquiries for formatting much more intricate documents for publication - but couldn't find suggestions for my simple task.

Many thanks! -Clint Bradford

It's pretty much as simple as you describe - save as Filtered HTML from Word (or just regular html if filtered is unavailable), import the html to Calibre, then convert to mobi. Then transfer to your Kindle.

Mobi is the same thing as AZW.

Thank you! I just wanted more "control" over the process as compared to sending it through my Kindle email address.
