Hello there,
After nearly scratching my two-day old screen, I thought about picking up one of those clear screen protectors that they sell for laptops. I was at the store, about to pick one up, when I wondered if the adhesive would in someway damage the screen. Such as if I ever needed to remove it.
Does anyone have experience using a screen protector with their Reader?
Thanks,
Albert.

I don't use one. The screen doesn't seem to scratch easily. I cleaned it many times and I don't have a single scratch. You can also get a screen protector that you can clean and re-apply, those are in general better and don't leave any residu.

I recommend using some airduster to clean the screen too. (a can of compressed air), that would clear out most dusts. (except for the fingerprints the surprised people leave on the screen when they're testing to see if it really isn't a piece of paper....)
A screen protector would produce more glare and attracts more dust in my experience with screen protectors for other devices.

When I used a screen protector on my Palm handheld I also noticed that the additional layer made the image appear less clear, and while I find the Reader screen clear enough to read well, I think that trying to view it through a screen protector might muddy things just enough to make it much less enjoyable to read.
I remember when I finally decided to do away with the screen protector on my Palm, the protector-less image I saw blew me away with how nice it looked -- I had forgotten over the months I had been using the protector. I never put one back on again!

I really don't see why one would need a screen protector on a device which doesn't have a touch-sensitive screen. The whole reason for them is that touch-senstive screens are delicate and easily scratched - the Reader's screen certainly isn't.

I tried a screen protector on my SONY reader from navprotector.com
Although it's ok in general, it has a very glossy finish ie very reflective.
Therefore i'am gonna remove it.
