Hello, and thanks for allowing me to post on Mobileread. I've been publishing books (novels and short stories) for about 20 years. But ebooks are new for me. I'm trying to learn more about promotion, but with more than 70 ebooks I'm finding it difficult to get to each of them.

I live in South Georgia and am writer in residence at Abraham Baldwin Agrirculture College, in Tifton, Georgia. I have a new novel coming out in print in Feb 2011. The title is "Hier to the Everlasting," and it's of course Southern, set in my own place but out of my time. The period is 1900 but runs into the year 2000.

This is an excellent place for authors to attempt to drum up a readership in their novels. It has been my understanding that the promotion is typically done by the publisher, one of the things that they get paid so much dollars for.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with a book obsession. But, wow, you have written lots of books. The number one best way to reach an audience is with your own website, and looks like you already have that. Also, try to get your books reviewed on blogs.
