I have been using EditLRFMetaData in order to modify the Author & Title information on several of the books that I have downloaded here. However, in several cases the program gives an error (see the attached screen capture).

For example, "Spacehounds of IPC.lrf" by E.E. Smith, which was graciously converted by RWood, does not have an author entry - and does not load in EditLRFMetaData (neither does Triplanetary).

Does anyone have a workaround or another way in modifying the Metadata in lrf files?

Thank you.

If you have a book that was uploaded to MobileRead, post in the thread for the book or a PM to the poster about any errors you find such as no author and then wait for a corrected edition to be posted.

lrf-meta (part of libprs500) is a command line tool that will display and change meta-data in lrf files. The gui (prs500-gui from the command line) also supports editing meta data (as well as transfers to the readers memory or a card in the reader). Works great, less filling!

lrf-meta also will not work if the meta-data is invalid which it is in the case of he aforementioned ebook.
