On my approximately one hour train commute this morning I was switching back and forth between reading an ebook (from the excellent Baen Free Library) in Plucker and playing Text Twist and wishing for another distraction or two, probably a game. I love Text Twist, as is evidenced by the 6 semi-permanent smudges/scratches on my SJ33's screen, but I want something more/different. Of course there's Bejeweled in ROM, but I lose interest in that game relatively quickly. Ditto Rally 1000, a Mille Borne clone I have installed... fun but not something to hold your interest. I've tried several of the other PopCap and Astraware titles - Insaniquariam, TipTop, Bookworm, Alchemy, etc. and in general I've liked them for awhile and then end up deciding that I don't like them enough to register them and so I delete them. I have Aldon's Crossing registered and enjoyed it but find that I don't have the time to devote to playing an RPG on a PDA and always found myself wondering where I was and what I was doing when I started playing again, so I deleted it.

All that being said I am not necessarily looking for people to necessarily make suggestions to me, though they are certainly welcome, but rather I am interested in other peoples PDA gaming habits and what games they find they are playing the most or again and again.

Let the lists begin!

Here's my list
3d Starfighter Pilot (shareware)-kind of like starfox for snes it has great graphics and sound.
Liberty (shareware)-gameboy emulator nuff said.
Phoenix (freeware)-gameboy emulator.
Scrabble (shareware)-scrabble
Those are the games I prefer for pre os 5 devices. Can't wait to play liberty on my new os 5 device that I'm getting the zire71. I tried it out in comp usa...beamed liberty to the zire and a couple of games and I noticed a significant speed increase.

Conveniently, I just wrote down all my apps that are on my Clie onto my blog. Here's the "Games" section redux:

Games:
Ababall
Aggression
Bejeweled
Billiards
Book Worm
Bounce Out*
Cryptos*
DragonBane II (current adventure: Princess Demelza)
Kingdom
Literati
P-Jongg (basic tile set)
Snowboard Bob
One for All Solitaires* (500 games in one app!)
Text Twist*
Tip Top*
Warfare

Dang woman. That's alotta games, eh? You think that's alotta games? I've had more. The starred ones are the ones of current addiction. I love Astraware/Popcap games, but I know for a fact that Tip Top is my all-time favorite. I particularly love the 50's style animation and the synth-woman's voice that says, "Double! Triple!" I haven't been able to get into Warfare or Aggression really, though they're both the gamers rave right now. Warfare is a super adventure with awesome graphix. Aggression is like Risk on steroids. I need to read the Kingdom manual. With that in mind, I should probably delete it. The graphix aren't so great, and who wants to read a freakin book to play a palm game? I played Dragonbane I all the way through, and the first adventure of DB II. Now it's Demelza. I need a long plane ride.

I gotta lotta games on my pda (Sony clie nr90v) but my fav are Standalone's Crosswords, Kindgom, Freecell,Bejeweled, Dope Wars in that order. I read alot using Isilo, Adobe & Palm Readers. I find the pda too small to keep me glued to most rpg's and the controls on the Sony too difficult to play the car chase games. I did play the chase games when I using a Visor prism. BUt I'm always looking for the killer game. I tried Sim City for a while but got bored, Rayman I didn't want to pay for, Warfare, Agression & most of the Astraware games don't move me (pda screen too small), altho I liked Heli Resuce. Master THief was pretty good, but the pda controls issues bugged me. HAs anyone played BugLord? I think the pda is best suited for the word games. I also use the Frotz for the occassional fiction game.
