a android ipod touch in Jan ?

It looks like Samsung are going to release a 4" Android (similar to ipod touch) in January 2011?

That sounds good because I looked at ipod touches as a potential e-reader but came away thinking, OK its doable but kinda small. I think the iPod touchs screen is 3.5" (??)
if so then even though its only half an inch bigger, it could make a real difference, plus they might have other improvements too?
I would expect flash etc

check it out

Thanks so much for sharing! This is really the LAST thread I should've seen because I've been looking for a way to get access to android apps without having to get a phone. I can't afford the extra data charges. This might be the answer to my prayers. And here I thought I was ready for a Nook.

If this pans out, I hope Samsung doesn't cripple it like Apple did to the touch.

Rest assured it will. Samsung Galaxy S owners are not supposed to use anything but Windows as their desktop OS, the management suite Kies is an authentic POS, and the device will probably come with some idiotic software shortcoming which makes it slow as hell. Yet the device will sell well because it's an iPhone in Android clothes. The resemblance between Samsung's Android UI (TouchWiz) and iOS is laughable: they even have the same problems.

If I'm happy with my Galaxy S it's definitely not because of Samsung. Seeing that the Galaxy Tab sported exactly the same issues as the Galaxy S, I won't give Samsung the benefit of doubt. If they don't improve significantly, I don't see a reason to buy it.

here is a video of it. It looks very good, I wonder how much it is?
I notice the screen is slightly bigger than the apple touch, which is great for reading e-books
