D. H. Lawrence's masterwork, The Plumed Serpent, takes place in Mexico.

Here are a few quotes: "Lawrence writes on rebirth and reflects on the ambience of Mexico and New Mexico in this 1926 novel of a woman whose passions inspire her to flee an unexciting husband."

And: "The story of a European woman's self-annihilating plunge into the intrigues, passions, and pagan rituals of Mexico."

Much thanks to Harry for helping me on the issue of diacritics. Here's the lesson: If your diacritics require a specific language, then you must have the language ALREADY selected to the correct language.

If problems persist, please let me know.

Thanks,
Don

Arghh: Harry, can you capitalize the "L" on "Lawrence" in the Header?

Glad that the suggestion worked. It's a lesson I've learned the hard way myself. The annoying thing is that, as you found, it all appears fine in BD itself; the problems only show up when you create the Sony Reader book.

I've edited the thread title, as you asked!

Another thing to do to make sure BD imports as you expect...

1. Check the default settings
2. Check that Book Cleaner is using your input and output files
3. Check that the directory you chose for your BD files is still set as you want if not using the default (under the Sony LRF dialog)
5. Load in your book to edit
6. Edit as needed
4. After editing the book and getting it ready, check your settings in the Sony Reader dialog

I've noticed that sometimes BD loses it's settings. So it's safer to just double check that everything is correct. Otherwise you could spend however long on editing your book only to end up having to start over as your settings are wrong.
