The following was found in the iRex forum from Scotty1024.

Just got this in my email.

7TH ANNIVERSARY STOREWIDE SALE!

Fictionwise is celebrating its 7th Anniversary and we're offering big
savings on EVERY SINGLE eBook in our catalog! For a limited time, all
MultiFormat eBooks are 25% off and all Secure eBooks offer a 25%
Micropay Rebate. We rarely run a storewide sale, so don't miss this
opportunity to stock up for summer!

One of their multiformats is Mobipocket. I can also confirm that their secure mobipocket's work with the recently released iLiad Mobipocket Viewer as well.
What we can do for us Sony Reader users/owners is to purchase the books in LIT format. And then you can use CLIT to remove the DRM. With LITCoverter you can convert to HTML and use HTML2LRF or just load the DRMfree LIT files into Book Designer. So yes, we can participate in the sale as long as it's LIT you buy and no other format. There is no reason you too cannot take advantage of this sale. Also, you'll have DRM free books when you are done too.

Microsoft Reader is LIT format. And Convert Lit (CLIT) 1.8 is what you use to strip the DRM and then you can load it into Book Designer to clean up. Unless of course you want to convert to HTML and then use html2lrf to convert. Both ways work well. But both solutions do require some editing.

Keep in mind that in some countries the use of tools like ConvertLit is illegal.

Other than that, great catch, JSWolf & Scotty!

Apparently it's technically legal in the U.S. if the DRM in question disables an Accessibility Feature, such as Reading Aloud. Or so I'm given to understand, anyway.
