This is actually my number two. I have the Sky Dragon in red for my Nook Classic. I'm afraid I'm hooked.

I'd get one, only I don't like the corner strap system Oberon uses to secure the device. I much prefer the 3-point clip system B&N uses for its covers. I'll probably get the Industriell Cover.

I'm with you. I have an M-Edge cover for my Sony 900 and it has the straps. I was shocked that B&N offers covers with the clips for a reasonable price. I have the Writer's Cover.

The Oberon covers are lovely though! They look impressive.

Oberon covers are awesome. I have two, Red Dragon for my K1 and Purple Sun for my DXG. They feel wonderful and last forever.

You can call and ask them to remove the wool pad that is included on the cover if you don't want it. I know folks who are allergic and others just don't like the feel of it.

Just got my Oberon NC cover this week. It's gorgeous! :D I chose the Green Paisley design. Their product is certainly high quality for the price, and their customer service is very good. I also have an Oberon Kindle2 cover which I use with my Sony 950, which is the Red Hummingbird design. I attached photos of both covers if someone wants another example to view.

ProfCrash, good tip on the wool pad. I find it collects cat hair easily.

The straps are placed such that they don't impede any of the side-buttons or the headphones plug. The one thing I was worried about was that the cover wouldn't fold back flatly enough. It is fine, and I am happy. The green paisley cover which is an all-over pattern seems to be more flexible than my red one which has the solid leather at the spine where it bends back.

Very pretty.

My husband rolled his eyes when he heared me comment that I might buy a K3 so that I can get a new Oberon. They are working on sleeves and I think I would prefer a sleeve to a cover.

I didn't know they were working on sleeves. That's nice to know. My K3 is in the Amazon non-lighted cover, and I think it's feeling unloved without an Oberon cover too. :)

The Sleeves were suppose to have been released in October but they are having a problem with the closure. They are going to return to working on them after Christmas.

3 cats here, all gifted shedders. I called to ask about that, but was told that all I needed to do was simply add a note to the online order of WOOL ALLERGY and that would do the trick. So I ordered online and it did. In case anyone wants to go that route.

I have the blue Van Gogh sky and love it. Better than the BN cover I had, better than the JAVOedge cover. Hubby has ROF in blue. Just got a great compliments on them the other day when were in a restaurant.

I told hubby I might need a NOOKcolor so I could have another Oberon cover. He rolled his eyes too, because he knows I really don't want to read off an LCD screen and that if I wanted to try a new reader, it would be a Sony 650 or 950.

I think they make Oberon's for Sony's you just have to call and ask them. At least, I know that they had a Sony cover for a while and if the dimensions have not changed they probably can make you one.

No worries. Just tell your dear hubby that the Sony 950 fits beautifully in the Oberon Kindle 2 cover. And, several people have bought an Oberon journal and then used velcro to attach the 650 inside it successfully (and securely). :)

Too bad they no longer make the velcro covers.

Useful to know, thanks! Don't expect I'll end up with a Sony reader any time soon though. Maybe if prices come down at a later point. It would be a luxury purchase, just to try one, LOL! And I do already like my Nook. Trouble is, I am always curious!

I'll save some folks time scrolling around Oberon ... The Nook Color cover's retail price is $72!

Boy that's designer living! But if you have the cash go for it. Or splurge on a gift!

Luckily I had a red B&N leather cover from the regular Nook I wasn't using (I ditched it for a lighted cover) & it fits pretty well...just sticks out a teensy weensy bit at the top.

Yeh, I know, but IMHO you DO get what you pay for. The covers are very well crafted, beautiful (made to order), thick and very sturdy so the reader is EXTREMELY well protected, so they can handle shocks very well.

And they last forever. I see myself trying to figure out how to convert them into journals or the like when I get rid of various Kindles.

Those Nook Color decals are the best! I ordered two myself.

I'm also a little jealous of the Oberon cover. I see that it has pockets. My uninspiring (but still lovely) cover purchased at B&N has no pockets. But they sure would be handy.

I've seen the photos of your NC decal in the "post your screen" thread, Girl Read Write. Your NC certainly has personality, even if the B&N cover is uninspiring! :D I just applied a decal to my Sony 950 last week. I'm really happy with it. Now I need to choose one for my NC. With the Oberon covers and the decals, it's great to have my ereaders customized to suit me!

The one hubby got for my nook has pockets, they do come in handy. I keep a little glass-cleaning shammy in it to keep my screen polished and free of schmegma.

((sorry about the double-post, I put it all in quick reply and hit post before I realized whta I did))

Oberon makes covers for the Nook e-ink. And, DecalGirl makes skins for the Nook e-ink too. The possibilities for customization are practically limitless! I had the problem that there were too many choices which made my decision difficult. :D

l have ordered the red sky dragon also can't wait til it gets here.

To renew an older thread - those of you who have the red covers - is the red on the orange side or a true red - I love the red dragon, but am not sure I want to take the chance of it looking (or turning) more orange than red.

It is a true red. I have the Red Sky Dragon for my K1 and the Red Cloud Dragon Sleeve for my K3.

For those who are looking, the sleeves are available now. They look gorgeous and work quite nicely. They have the sleeve in two sizes. The Nook Classic and Nook Color use the Large Sleeve. They are priced at $60.

That answers the question I was going to ask. Why oh why do all of the cases for the nook color triple the thickness of the device? :(

I just received an Oberon sleeve for the nook and it is perfect. The nook is heavy enough without a cover, and using one ofmthe Barnes and Noble covers made it really heavy. But the sleeve works very well.
