"Pictures From Italy" is an account of a year Dickens spent travelling to Italy in 1844 and is, like the journey two years earlier described in "American Notes", a fascinating glimse of a long-gone world; an Italy before the age of mass tourism.
A short work but, like "American Notes", one that's well worth reading.
Enjoy!
