I couldn't let Harry have all the fun with the great British writers. Here is a short story I have enjoyed since I first read it. I am continually amazed at how many young people in the US have never read or even heard of this work.

So here is some very light reading for a Saturday afternoon.

Wikipedia says this... "Swift proposed that poor Irish families sell their children to be eaten, thereby earning income for the family.

Written as an attack on the indifference of landlords to the state of their tenants and on the political economists with their calculations on the schemes to raise income, the essay contains scathing comments about the state of the poor and their landlords."

How can this book not pique your interest, even if you happen to be a landlord?! ;-)
