I just launched a prototype of a simple epub creator I've been working on. It uses OpenOffice for part of the backend conversion, so it supports many input formats. Here's a quick description of the creator:


Takes in .odt, .doc, .docx, .rtf, etc. document formats
Runs XHTML through Tidy HTML
Outputs .epub, .mobi, and .pdf formats
Validates .epub file with epubchecker
Puts all heading 1’s and 2’s in table of contents
