I wonder if anyone in this forum has had this problem. Suddenly, and i can´t recall exactly when and how it happenned, the two icons between the lock and the battery ones are blank, and on the other side the second and the fifth one as well. So i only can see a blank in there, but they actually work.

I did send a pm to Mathijs, since there is a person that reported a similar problem in the irex forum and he was dealing with it. I hope it has a easy solution, because i already got two "fawlty" Iliads.

Is this the case on irex forum you are talking about? Never seen this before. I think you must contact tech support, but if Mathijs found a solution for you, share it with us. May be helpfull.

Yes it is actually the same problem. As far as a know it is the only one (that makes two with me) with this strange problem. Lucky me the problem is already solved thanks to Mathijs, he sent me a line to put in a .sh file that solved the problem. I must say he was very helpful and very fast, the problem was solved the next day i emailed him.
The problem was related to the crash of the settings application.
