View Full Version : Science Fiction Piper, H. Beam: Little Fuzzy v3 2008-03-20
JSWolf 04-15-2007, 02:58 PM Here is my PG conversion of H. Beam Piper's book Little Fuzzy. I hope you like it. Please leave any comments. If it needs any format fixing, please let me know.
H. Beam Piper's classic science fiction novel of the discovery of another sentient race—the Fuzzies—and the one man who fought to prove them mankind's equal. Highly recommended, Little Fuzzy is considered H. Beam Piper's masterpiece.
P.S. I've even managed to keep the em dashes correct.
P.P.S. I've fixed up some of the italics as well. Sorry for the second posting.
Version 2 has had 82 views.
Alexander Turcic 04-17-2007, 03:02 PM Looks very good! Thanks you JSWolf.

Xenophon 04-18-2007, 10:10 AM Formatting is generally quite nice. I prefer the serif font for body text, but I realize that others may prefer the sans serif that you used. Overall, I really like it... But did the base font size have to be so large? Remember that users who want bigger fonts can increase to M or L, but users who want smaller fonts can't shrink down from S.
This is especially an issue for readers like me who normally read with the device in landscape mode.

Yes, I can reduce the font size down and post another copy.
UncleDuke 04-21-2007, 04:33 PM my eyes are old
my eyes are tired
i will read 'til the day i die
i have many more page turns than most of you
i won't wear my cheaters in public if i don't have to
doesn't make you look cool or educated as they say it will in the ads
just something else to lose at the coffee shop
JSWolf 04-26-2007, 05:55 AM So which version do most here prefer so I'll know for the next time I do a conversion?
HarryT 04-26-2007, 06:19 AM Personally I prefer the smaller fonts version. One can always make small fonts larger, but there's no way of making large fonts smaller.
That's just me, though!

JSWolf 06-07-2007, 12:31 PM Can a moderator please fix the topic and the database for this entry please? The author's name should be last name, first name. I posted it incorrectly when I originally made this thread. Thanks!

Thank you. Sorry for getting it incorrect in the first place. But at least we won't be having duplicated effort.

HarryT 06-08-2007, 01:46 AM No problem at all!
JSWolf 12-18-2007, 07:53 AM I've redone this classic novel to fit my current Book Designer formatting. I hope everyone enjoys this new edition.
JSWolf 03-20-2008, 11:43 AM I've posted version 3 with the formatting I use now. Also I have added in an inline ToC. So I hope anyone who has yet to read this will enjoy it.

Glad to do it. Hope you like the formatting I've decided to stick with. It gives the most text per page and I personally do not find the lack of margins to be a problem at all.
