Cleaning the Screen on a Kindle 3

Is is okay to use the sort of stuff you clean your glasses with? I have this as I wear glasses and I have the soft no scratch cloths that come with them.

I use a lense cloth, or a microfiber cloth and a little bit of water.

Yes. Microfibre cloths are an excellent thing to use.

Thanks all - I have tried a bit of a clean at work just now using my glasses cloth, but I need to spray some of the cleaner on the cloth when I get home as the cloth alone isn't man enough for a couple of annoying little 'spit marks' - tiny drops where I can only think I might have coughed or something. Though I always cover my mouth .... one or two of them look like they might be coffee - probably when I try to sit down on the rush hour train with a laptop backpack and a coffee and read at the same time .......

I've had good results using pre-moistened lens wipes to clean my K3 screen.

Fog your breath on it, then rub vigorously with whatever cloth you have on. Heavy wool and jeans work well.

Pixelclean is what I use.

I use Pixelclean for all LCD screens, cell phones, GPS unit and will use it for my Kindle 3 as well ONLY if needed.

Here's where to get it:

http://www.pixelclean.com/product/Pi...Set-of-12.html

Peferably, just use the dry cloth if possible. If using the wet cloth, just touch it to the screen and use the dry cloth to spread it.

I use the product that I bought to use on my flat screen TV called, Klear Screen, another brand called iClear, there are several on the market. Anyway, it turns out that there couldn't be anything better in my opinion. Spray it on a microfiber cloth and polish the screen with it. It seems to leave a protective coating that resists finger prints as well. That is the main reason I use it. I hate a screen that is all covered in oily finger prints.

3M Scotch Brite microfiber + AF Screen-Clene spray. I spray at Kindle screen and then with 3M cloth. Fine!

Amazon CS has recommended using a soft cloth (like microfiber) and NO chemicals.

I never spray anything on a screen; just moisten the microfiber with a bit of water, when necessary. I don't know what chemicals will do in the long run.

Am very, perhaps too, protective of my Kindle. Pamper it with an Nice Cover and have vowed never to buy another but Kindle.
