I found the Compact Flash Card (CF) 4GB Platinum quite cheap (around 45 euros), can anyone confirm if it works in the Iliad?

You can take a look at the wiki for Supported cards (http://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/Iliad_Memorycards_list), the one you mention isn't listed, but that isn't to say it doesn't work. Perhaps you'd like to purchase it and test it (assuming 45euro is not too much)
